HOW TO IDENTIFY WAX MELT FRAGRANCE NOTES

What are candle notes?

Much like the way you use multiple ingredients to make your favorite cake, wax melts include many layers of different types of fragrances to build a singular fragrance. A fragrance “note” is a descriptor of the scent that you smell when you melt a wax melt. Every wax melt, candle, and perfume is built using a carefully crafted combination of different fragrance note layers. In addition, if a fragrance does not have a top, middle, and base note, it’s described as linear. Fragrances like vanilla, amber, and musk are considered linear fragrances. They are not seen as complex fragrances.

You can think of the different layers of a fragrance in terms of three main notes. The differences between the notes can be identified by the fragrance progression over time. For instance, the top notes appear first, middle notes appear second, and base notes appear last.

Top Notes 

The top notes are often referred to as the “opening” notes. They are the first notes you might smell when you’re melting a wax melt. The top notes can also be referred to as the “head” notes. The top notes are the fragrances that evaporate first, and they are usually the sharpest. Some might even call them a “flash” fragrance. Generally, the top notes are made up of the lightest fragrance oil, which is why they disappear so quickly. Common top notes include grapefruit, lemon, orange, rose, and chamomile. In wax melts and candles, the top notes are the fragrances you smell in the cold throw. Cold throw is what you smell before you start melting the wax melt or candle. For instance, if you were to pick up a candle in a store, cold throw would be what you smell straight from the jar.

Middle Notes  

The middle notes are known as the liaison between the top and bottom notes of the fragrance. The middle notes emerge right as the top notes are fading and make up the body of the fragrance. These fragrance notes tend to last slightly longer than the top notes but not as long as the bottom notes. You can identify the middle notes by the fact that they appear after the top notes and tend to be more mellow. The middle notes are generally known as the carrier fragrance.

Bottom Notes  

The bottom notes are the most long-lived, and they tend to be the fragrance that creates the memory you remember it by. The bottom notes make up the base of the fragrance. These notes prevent the lighter fragrances from evaporating as quickly. The base notes only appear once all the other ones have evaporated. In most cases, the fragrance you smell most is the base fragrance. Some common base fragrances are ones like cedarwood, sandalwood, vanilla, and patchouli. Our noses tend to pick up on those most because they tend to linger the longest.

However, when you shift your focus on all the positive things around you, you will start attracting more of the positive stuff in your life including your business. 

Play to win and get ahead in your life. What is your WHY in building your business? Really think about that. What is the WHY that makes you cry?  Why did you start your business? Really think about that, put it in front of you daily, and step out of that comfort zone so your not stuck.  You got this!

Grind out the details when it’s easier to shrug them off.
Deliver results when making excuses is an option.
Search for your own explanations even when you’re told to accept the “facts.”
Make mistakes and look like an idiot.

If you’ve ever been camping, you’ve noticed that when you separate
logs on a campfire the fire goes out.  Push them back together and
the fire blazes up.  So with ONE log, you have nothing.

If you have two logs, you’ll have a flame, with three you have a fire,
with four you have a BLAZE!

When having a meeting, be sure that there are at least three people
there, and when the fourth person arrives, your meeting is really
blazing!  We call these sessions “sizzle sessions.”  Your MLM program
is the steak, and it’s the SIZZLE that sells the steak.

This is a good place to bring someone who isn’t quite as
hot as you’d like them to be, they’ll catch on fire!

If you’re at a public place like a restaurant, watch for people who
might be listening in on the conversation.  When the Sizzle Session
is over, hang around a bit and see if anyone approaches you.  They
might not approach while there’s a crowd, but they will after the
others leave.

Start the Sizzle Session by having people tell about something good
that has happened in their business.

When you are finished, part with something like this:  “Just think,
this is as hard as we will ever work!”  Those who have joined your
meeting that are involved in a regular JOB will be motivated to hurry
up and get to that same position.

The main reason all companies ask you to work with your warm market is because they already know, trust and like you. When you get online and in particular Facebook, you want to grow your network, moving people from cold to warm. As they start to trust, like and know you, your business will grow.

Here is a step-by-step guide on how to grow your network on Facebook.

Step#1: Get on your Primary companies Fan (Business) group. If you don’t know where it is, ask your sponsor or someone in your up-line. Make sure you find the MAIN group as there are many secondary groups.
Step#2: Interact often in those groups (like, comment, post). Get your name (and photo) out in the group. You will be able to find who the big players are in the company and you will start to get noticed by some of the bigger names in your business. It is common to see people in these groups add you as a friend. Accept them as friends. These are great people for future ventures.
Step#3: SHOW support to everyone in the group, comment and like. This is great attraction marketing technique to get everyone to like and respect you. This will build a great foundation and as you start commenting and sharing, they will return the favor and like and comment on your posts as well. Any promotion or success from you or your downline, show it publicly on your Facebook wall – get excited for everyone.
Step #4: Big leaders usually have a lot of friends in their network from all kinds of businesses, from network marketing, internet marketing and direct sales. Comment on their stuff often and soon you will get “friend requests” from people outside your primary company. This is how you will tap into a new circle of friends that are not in the same business as you.
Step #5: Now you are slowly building your network of friends outside your company, repeat Step #3 – but with people who are not in the same business as you. Comment on their stuff, like their posts. Tell them to keep up the great work! This will attract people in that specific circle of friends to add you as a friend too. This will start to increase your friends from companies that you are not involved with.
Step #6: Promote your business on your profile page once in awhile. Once you get a signup, welcome this person to the team publicly on your wall. This is great attraction marketing technique. This will peak interest from others and have more people interested in joining you. Continue to do this over and over and over again.
Step#7: As you move through this process you will find some amazing friends, partners and people you will respect. Message them, call them, video chat with them. These are soon some of your best friends and greatest business partners. They may not join your business now or ever, but they without hesitation, recommend others to you.
This may not be the “fast track” to success but the process works and you will meet some amazing people along the way. It is a slower process, but you are “getting to know” people. Best friends are not built in a day. Once you get a hang of the process, you will not want to go a day without doing it. You will miss it and value all the great new people you have in your network.
