Stop Complaining and Change!

How many times have you seen an, “Ugh, I hate Mondays” post on social media?

I-Hate-Mondays-Simpsons-Picture

Those who are completely happy have put themselves in that position because anything other than happiness just isn’t acceptable. They made sacrifices and worked hard until they reached the level of happiness they were striving for.

It all comes down to identifying what it is that you want, formulating a plan to get there and then working hard until you reach your desired goal. It has nothing to do with luck.

If you are unhappy, you currently have two options: You can complain about it and hope it magically changes, or you can set out to make a change. For the latter, here is a simple four-step plan to help you achieve happiness. If you are unhappy you owe it to yourself to make a change — life is too short to delay any longer.

1. Determine why you are unhappy.

There are several reasons why you could be unhappy — you could be working a job that you don’t truly love, working with people you don’t enjoy being around or doing something you are over-qualified for.

It might not be work related at all — you might be in a dead end or unhealthy relationship. There could be a million different reasons, and it’s up to you to identify them. Whatever they are, just know that you aren’t going to find true happiness until you first single out what the problem is.

2. Change your attitude.

The first thing I mentioned above was the “FML” and “Ugh, I hate Mondays” social media status updates we all see on a regular basis — that type of attitude sets the tone. If you are constantly filling your head with a negative outlook, what do you expect will happen?

Negative thoughts breed negativity and unhappiness, while positive thoughts breed positivity and happiness.

When it comes down to it we are all responsible for our own happiness. The only way you will be happy is by changing your attitude and understanding that you are in full control, and fully capable of changing your situation.

3. Create a plan to reach happiness.

When you know why you are unhappy and are armed with a positive attitude, you can start to devise a plan to achieve happiness. This is where many people hit a mental roadblock and self-doubt enters their minds.

“I’m not going to find a better job.”
“I wont find someone else.”
“I’m too old to start a business.”

Excuses are made to justify remaining miserable. If you are serious about truly being happy you need to push all self-doubt out of your mind and commit to developing a plan to become happy. Determine what your ultimate end goal is and reverse engineer the steps you will need to take to reach it.

4. Take action and don’t look back.

With your plan outlined it’s time to move forward and never look back. Simply taking action doesn’t guarantee results — your journey to happiness could include mistakes, rejection and disappointment. But if you don’t take action there is only one guarantee, and that is your situation will never improve and you will remain unhappy.

Happiness isn’t going to happen overnight — you have to continue to push forward, regardless of how difficult it may appear.

The Sizzle Sells the Steak

imagesThe Sizzle Sells the Steak

If you’ve ever been camping, you’ve noticed that when you separate
logs on a campfire the fire goes out.  Push them back together and
the fire blazes up.  So with ONE log, you have nothing.

If you have two logs, you’ll have a flame, with three you have a fire,
with four you have a BLAZE!

When having a meeting, be sure that there are at least three people
there, and when the fourth person arrives, your meeting is really
blazing!  We call these sessions “sizzle sessions.”  Your MLM program
is the steak, and it’s the SIZZLE that sells the steak.

This is a good place to bring someone who isn’t quite as
hot as you’d like them to be, they’ll catch on fire!

If you’re at a public place like a restaurant, watch for people who
might be listening in on the conversation.  When the Sizzle Session
is over, hang around a bit and see if anyone approaches you.  They
might not approach while there’s a crowd, but they will after the
others leave.

Start the Sizzle Session by having people tell about something good
that has happened in their business.

When you are finished, part with something like this:  “Just think,
this is as hard as we will ever work!”  Those who have joined your
meeting that are involved in a regular JOB will be motivated to hurry
up and get to that same position.

These lessons have been adapted from “The 45 Second Presentation,”
by Don Failla.

The Excitement of Winning!

“Don’t let the fear of losing be greater than the excitement of winning.” ~ Robert Kiyosaki

Many people play not to lose than they actually play to win. Don’t let the fear of losing be greater than the excitement of winning! Stepping in a direction of changing your life will always have a risk of it not working out but always consider the alternative. What happens if you don’t change your life? Do you want to be exactly where you are in 5-10 years?

I love this quote by Robert Kiyosaki. Do YOU want to be where you are 5-10 years from now? I don’t! I want to better my life for myself and my family. My JOB is not going to do that for me. Don’t trust only a job to take you on to retirement & beyond, put your kids through college, etc. You need a back up plan.  Find something that interests you and you are passionate about.  Work it daily.  Expect it to take several years to build.  This will not happen overnight but it will so be worth it.

Grow Your Network With Facebook!

Growing your network!

The main reason all companies ask you to work with your warm market is because they already know, trust and like you. When you get online and in particular Facebook, you want to grow your network, moving people from cold to warm. As they start to trust, like and know you, your business will grow.

Facebook to tell millions of users they've seen 'fake news' about ...

Here is a step-by-step guide on how to grow your network on Facebook.

Step#1: Get on your Primary companies Fan (Business) group. If you don’t know where it is, ask your sponsor or someone in your up-line. Make sure you find the MAIN group as there are many secondary groups.
Step#2: Interact often in those groups (like, comment, post). Get your name (and photo) out in the group. You will be able to find who the big players are in the company and you will start to get noticed by some of the bigger names in your business. It is common to see people in these groups add you as a friend. Accept them as friends. These are great people for future ventures.
Step#3: SHOW support to everyone in the group, comment and like. This is great attraction marketing technique to get everyone to like and respect you. This will build a great foundation and as you start commenting and sharing, they will return the favor and like and comment on your posts as well. Any promotion or success from you or your downline, show it publicly on your Facebook wall – get excited for everyone.
Step #4: Big leaders usually have a lot of friends in their network from all kinds of businesses, from network marketing, internet marketing and direct sales. Comment on their stuff often and soon you will get “friend requests” from people outside your primary company. This is how you will tap into a new circle of friends that are not in the same business as you.
Step #5: Now you are slowly building your network of friends outside your company, repeat Step #3 – but with people who are not in the same business as you. Comment on their stuff, like their posts. Tell them to keep up the great work! This will attract people in that specific circle of friends to add you as a friend too. This will start to increase your friends from companies that you are not involved with.
Step #6: Promote your business on your profile page once in awhile. Once you get a signup, welcome this person to the team publicly on your wall. This is great attraction marketing technique. This will peak interest from others and have more people interested in joining you. Continue to do this over and over and over again.
Step#7: As you move through this process you will find some amazing friends, partners and people you will respect. Message them, call them, video chat with them. These are soon some of your best friends and greatest business partners. They may not join your business now or ever, but they without hesitation, recommend others to you.
This may not be the “fast track” to success but the process works and you will meet some amazing people along the way. It is a slower process, but you are “getting to know” people. Best friends are not built in a day. Once you get a hang of the process, you will not want to go a day without doing it. You will miss it and value all the great new people you have in your network.
I hope this has helped you see how to grow your network online.

Success

Ok, so you think you have found the opportunity, the sponsor, now what? Most people freeze up at this point in time, saying, “I’ll do it tomorrow or next week.” Pretty soon they find its years later and they are no better off now then they where then. They have not achieved success in their business.

7 Key Steps to Success

1. Take 100% Responsibility for Your Life

2. Be Clear Why You’re Here

3. Decide What You Want

4. Believe It’s Possible

5. Believe in Yourself

6. Use the Law of Attraction (the ability to attract into our lives whatever we are focusing on)

7. Unleash the Power of Goal-Setting

Procrastination is one of the biggest obstacles to overcome in all aspects of life. Time is such a precious commodity that really cannot be wasted. We know how compounded interest works with money, building your business also works on the same principle. Success starts slow at first then gains momentum as our skills and education grow. Work your business daily. Find that block of time each day, somehow.  Any business takes time to build and grow.  Work it every single day.  Don’t procrastinate.  Be consistent and persistent and most important, LOVE what you do!

What does Branding Your Business mean?

What does branding your business mean? Why is it important?

The definition of branding is:  The process involved in creating a unique name and IMAGE for a product in the consumers mind. Mainly through advertising campaigns with a consistent theme. Branding aims to establish a significant and differentiated presence in the market that attracts and retains loyal customers.

What is branding your business? So for instance, in my business (candles), I use the same profile picture, or pretty close of myself with my white horse. Over the years, people have come to know me as the ‘candle lady with the white horse’.  Outside my business and my family, my passion is my horses.  People have come to know me as a huge animal & candle lover and I get many shared ‘horsey’ posts to my timeline on Facebook.

In addition, Brand Marketing is the way that businesses or organizations highlight and bring awareness to products or services by connecting values and voice to the right audience through strategic communication.

Above all, show people what you are all about.  Keep showing the same theme.  They will get to know you and whenever they see a picture or video of whatever your brand or look is, that will remind them of you!

Have a great day and hope this helped you today.

Network Marketing Success!

Network Marketing Success - EdZimbardi.com

You probably have an image firmly planted in your mind of what network marketing (also known as direct sales or multilevel marketing) is all about–housewives buying and selling Tupperware while gossiping and eating finger sandwiches, or a high-pressure salesperson trying to convince you how easily you can become a millionaire if only you and your friends and their friends and so on would buy and sell vitamins with him.

Both of these images couldn’t be further from the reality of network marketing. It’s neither a hobby nor a get-rich-scheme but an opportunity for you to earn money running your own part- or full-time business.

But what does it take to succeed in this industry?

Vincent J. Kellsey, director of member services for the Direct Selling Women’s Alliance, an organization that provides a variety of resources to women and men in the direct-selling industry, offers these tips for making it:

Tips….

Choose wisely. There are six key elements you should be looking for when selecting an opportunity. Number one: stability. How old is the company? Number two is excellent products or services that consumers will use and need more of.

Number three is the pay plan–how even and fair and generous overall is the distribution? This is really crucial as the pay plan represents exactly how you’ll get paid–or not get paid. There are really only two questions to ask regarding this: How many pennies out of each sales dollar get paid back to the distributors each month, and how fair is the distribution of these pennies between the old members and the new members?

Number four is the integrity of the company and the management. As much as possible, investigate the experience of the CEO, their experience in the network marketing industry, and their background. Have they been successful in other companies in the industry? Do they have a good reputation?

Number five is momentum and timing. Look at where the company’s at, what’s going on with the company, and if it’s growing.

Number six is support, training and business systems. You may have chosen a great company with excellent management, products that make a difference, a pay plan that’s uniquely fair and very generous, and momentum and stability, but if you don’t have a system in place that works, all of that doesn’t matter. Most companies will have a transferable training system that they use, and that’s where mentorship comes in.

Practice what your upline teaches

To succeed, you need to be willing to listen and learn from mentors. The way this industry is structured, it’s in the best interests of the network marketing veterans in your company to help you succeed, so they’re willing to teach you the system. Whatever your mentor did to become successful, it’s very duplicatible, but you have to be willing to listen and be taught and follow those systems.

The higher-ups. It can be called various things, but the general term is the “upline,” meaning the people above you. How supportive are they? Do they help you put a plan in place? Do they followup and stay in touch with you? Are they as committed to your success as they are to their own? You should be able to relate to the people in your upline and be able to call them at any time to say “I need some help.” How much support there is from the people above you in the company is very important.

Take up the lead with your downline

There’s a term in the network marketing industry called “orphans”–when somebody is brought in and then the person who brought them in is just so busy bringing in other people that they don’t spend the time to teach and train [the new person]. You should be prepared to spend at least 30 days helping a new person come into the industry–training them, supporting them and holding their hand until they feel confident to be able to go off on their own. You really need to ask yourself, are you willing to do that? Are you able to do that? This is really about long-term relationship building. It’s not about just bringing people into the business and just moving forward. It’s about working with these people and helping them to develop relationships.

On the net

People are utilizing the internet as their main marketing tool. You can set up your site with autoresponders so when you capture leads, the autoresponder can follow up with that person. One of the greatest keys to success in this industry is follow-up. Many people will have someone call them who’s interested or they’ll call the person and say they’re interested, but then they don’t follow up with it. Automation on the internet has allowed a much more consistent method of following up.

The only drawback with the internet is people who utilize it to spam. If there was one thing I could put forward to say, “Do not do” when utilizing the internet as a marketing tool, it’s spamming because that can give a very bad reputation not only to you but also to the company you’re working with.

Taking care of business

This is a business, and just like if you were running a franchise or a storefront, you should have an accountant. You have all the same write-offs tax-wise that you have with running a full-time business, so it’s very important to do your research prior to getting involved, before you start making money from it. How is that going to affect you tax-wise? What are your write-offs?

Don’t quit your day job…yet. Never leave your full-time position unless you’re absolutely certain that the income that’s coming in with this company is going to be there. Be sure that you’ve been with the company for awhile and that you know it’s a stable company, and the income that you’re earning is equal to or greater than the income you’re earning from your job before quitting.

Success!

The Turning Point

The Turning Point!

I usually listen in every morning to some sort of training or inspirational video or article to get my day going on a positive note and make that turning point in my day.

What is a positive attitude?

The first step to looking at the positive side of life is to be optimistic! You are capable of optimism even if you are a glass half empty kind of guy. When your car breaks down on the side of the road, you can look at it as an opportunity or a challenge! You can time how long it takes for a tow truck to arrive and when it gets there, be friendly to the tow truck driver! You can both start talking and before you know it, you may have a friend in this world that you didn’t have before! This is only one example of how you can take life’s negatives and turn it into something positive.

Positive thoughts lead to a positive attitude, while negative thoughts lead to a negative attitude. Changing your attitude is as easy as hitting the “pause” button on what you’re thinking and choosing to think different thoughts.

In order to have a positive attitude, focus on the good. Focus on the good in yourself, the good in your life, and the good in others.

Individuals who have a positive attitude will pay attention to the good, rather than bad in people, situations, events. A simple example of a positive attitude; when you are having a very bad run of luck but you still say “Good Morning” rather than “What’s so good about this morning”.

Enjoy and have a wonderful day!
